Continuity is something that is extremely important in the film-making process. Whether it’s someone in wardrobe making sure the character’s shirt has the two top buttons unbuttoned all the way through each take of the scene, or the editor spotting any mistakes while cutting the film together, without continuity the audience would be pulled out of their suspension of disbelief. But as much attention as is given to continuity, there are still plenty of mistakes that get through, even in some of the biggest movies of all time.

This Hitchcock film starring suave Cary Grant is a gem of a classic. It’s funny and romantic and very suspenseful. There is one very famous scene that takes place in the Mount Rushmore café when a gun is fired. In the background if you look at the extras there is a young boy who is clearly seen covering his ears because he knows the loud BANG is about to happen.
